| Quick search |
| You can perform simple queries with this form positioned
at the upper left at any page. Enter your search term and choose among the
categories where you specifically want to search. If you choose 'any
match' you will search only among the categories of the different names
of the brain regions, but _NOT_ within authors or connections. |
|
| Searching for brain regions |
You can search for the details (superregion, subregions,
connections, etc.) of a specific brain region by choosing one from the
scroll-down menu. On the resulting page you can jump to other regions
or to the connections of the chosen region.
Please note that at the moment there are confilicting hypothesis on how
to divide a region into subregions. In ABCD each region has only one superregion,
but regions might be overlapping, and the sum of all subregions does not
necessarily give exactly their superregion.
You can also search for brain regions using 'QUICK SEARCH' on the top-right
of this page. |
|
| Searching for connections |
| You can list the connections of a brain region by its name
or abbreviation chosen from the scroll-down menu. You can also choose a
tractus and see the details. |
| On the resulting connectivity page, you can either click
at the NAME of regions and get the details of that structure or click at
the ARROW to get the details (e.g.references where mentioned, species where
described) of the chosen connection. |
| On the resulting page when searching for the details of a
specific connection, you can click at any regions to get back to its details.
By clicking at the references the abstract in PubMed at NCBI will be shown
in a new window. |
|
| Searching for authors |
| You can search for the scientific publications that have
already been processed in ABCD of the author you have chosen from the list.
Please note, that the list is far from complete!!! |

|
"No entry yet" |
"no entry yet" indicates that information has not
been found or uploaded to the data base. It does not necessarily mean, however,
that such connection does not exist, nor that it has not been published.
Connections of large superregions are normally not listed, but can be found
at the subregion level. |
